Order Cancellation Confusion

I received this e-mail the day after I cancelled my order. Now I’m waiting for the package to arrive so I can return it and get a refund, but when I called customer service regarding the package, they’re saying it was never shipped. Just very confused whether or not the e-mail was just an error? Or is there any way to know if the package was really shipped or not? Would greatly appreciate help!
