Online Return Declined

I ordered a skincare sampler online that came with multiple products. I only ever sampled two of them one time and they and left my skin sticky so I decided to return. I repackaged the products in all of the original packaging and returned via mail. My return was declined for being more than gently used. I emailed customer service multiple times and each time they replied that the product was more than half used and there was nothing they could do to help, then stopped replying. It's so frustrating because it's just false and customer service was unwilling to even look into it. It isn't as much the the money, but the principle of it that frustrates me. I always buy my beauty products from Sephora and have been a loyal customer for some time. I did not abuse their return policy. There are other community comments that express the same frustration as me. Has anyone reached a resolution with this or just want to commiserate? I'm feeling pretty done with Sephora. Thanks!
