Online Payment Transaction

I'm having trouble completing orders when I get to the checkout page. I checked my cards on there and they are all in good working order and when I tried to add a new one, it said "an unexpected error occurred". The error message I get when I try any of my other cards already on there says "Unable to place your order. Please verify that your card information and billing address are correct. If applicable, we have reversed any pending charges to your account." This has been happening for the past few days and I'm not sure what's going on? If someone could help with this, I would really appreciate it.
