Ole Hendrickson Banana Bright Eye Cream - Allergic Reaction

Did Ole Henrickson change the formula of the banana bright eye cream?? I can see there are multiple posts about people having an allergic reaction to this eye cream. I could not figure out what was causing itchiness, redness and puffiness underneath my eyes at first. I thought it might’ve been my eye makeup remover. However, last night, I washed my face and within 30 minutes of applying the eye cream, my under eye areas started to itch, become red, and swollen. This morning I have bright red streaks underneath both eyes that are very itchy and puffy. I’m going to have to call the doctor because the itching is so bad. It’s unfortunate because I like other products from this company. However, this one is apparently a major fail for a lot of people. I would really like my money back. This was not cheap and this is at least the third time that this has happened to me. I don’t wanna leave the house because it’s so embarrassing.

Hi there! I usually don’t have issues with most skincare products, but I recently tried the Ole Henriksen Banana Bright Instant Glow Moisturizer and noticed small breakouts on my forehead. I panicked and started searching for possible causes. Thankfully, I only test one new product at a time, so it was easy to identify the culprit! Thank you for starting this thread and for everyone who shared their similar experiences- also happy to find all of the info.  Until today I haven't really been sure of which product has been causing this awful reaction, I've only used this eye cream sporadically after receiving it in an Allure beauty bundle.

But last night, I am positive that I only used the Banana Bright +, and woke up again to itchy and painful burns and swelling around my eyes and into cheek area -exactly like what everyone else is reporting. So I finally know it is this eye cream that has at least three or four times caused this reaction over last couple of years. The problem is, like others here have reported, it does take a very long time to heal, and even when it does, my skin integrity there never fully recovers, and is left dry, crepey, and wrinkled. I look like I've aged a decade.

It appears there was a law suit brought against the company for this same issue in 2020 in San Francisco, but I can't access the entire article on Bloomberg Law website to read how it turned out or if there was a settlement. I will definitely look further into that though.

I'm not happy to hear that the company hasn't responded to inquiries about the product. I'm going to contact them today and will follow up here.

I had the same issue and the reaction was pretty bad. I used this cream a few years ago and never had issues so I got a sample this time just to familiarize myself with it again. Next day I woke up and felt a weird sensation on my eye lids and under eyes. when I looked the mirror I see this. I could barely open my eye and the under eye felt like a really bad sun burn. I thought I got a bad sample but seeing all these reviews this company needs to take a closer look at this product cause clearly there is an issue.

so sorry to hear this happened to you as well!! Please could you let me know what the doctor said - I used this under eye cream last night and woke up with swollen, itchy and red eyes. I am going to try and see a doctor tomorrow as it’s becoming unbearable and I am so embarrassed to go anywhere. 
I would appreciate any advice or tips you have, I have a business trip that is taking me out of the country in a few days and would love to look and feel normal before then.

Omgoodness ! I'm terribly upset.. The banana bright eye cream

should not even be sold at this point. All of the women that have shown their pictures and those that have had a NEGATIVE reaction to this product is just unreal to me and honestly unacceptable. I certainly didn't  know what was going on. I'm up right now trying to figure out if I should put aquapour under my eyes because they've been so dry and have discoloring underneath. We as women try to take care of our appearance by buying products we feel are reputable and then this happen.... I don't know where to go from here but I will be reaching out to a.. I am not happy at all, has anybody reached out to see what could be done re what this product has done to our face?! Thank You.
