Older scent certificate

I have an older scent certificate. I went in to a Sephora store to redeem and they said I couldn't redeem it there. So I tried entering the numbers from the certificate into the promo online and it is not working for me. There is NO expiration date so how can I redeem and get me some smell good?? # scent certificate
