New return policy for Sephora inside JCP???

So I just had the worst experience at my Sephora inside JCP. I went to return a few items I had bought less then two weeks ago and didn't have the receipt. I thought no big deal I know the can look up my past purchases using my insider card or I can use the Sephora app to show them my purchase history. I know this because I had just returned a too faced liquid lipstick last week using the Sephora app with no problems! When I went up to return my items the associate told me the no receipt policy had changed two months ago and they would now give me the lowest selling point of the item.

Ok not a problem as none of the items I bought had gone on sale at all. She started returning them and tried to tell me I would be getting only $5 back for the fenty highlighter I had bought! (When the hell has any fenty product gone on sale for $5) I even tried to tell her about my previous return with no receipt and she just very loudly said "this is my job I think I know how to do it!" I've never been so pissed off at a store employee in my life. If anyone has any suggestions for any way to go about this I would love advice. Has anyone else ever gone through this?

I went through the same! I walked out so angry! I also showed the JCPenny Sephora employee my VIB Sephora app/purchase history & I wasn't even asking for a refund all I was wanting was an even exchange for the correct Too faced born this way foundation color. I know they are able to do even exchanges but this girl was unwilling. She only offered a credit in the lowest price the foundation had sold in the amount of $3.10!! So instead of doing the even exchange & owing $0.00 she expected me to accept the $3.10 credit & pay the difference for the the foundation!! I felt insulted! I prefer to deal with the actual Sephora stores versus JCP Sephora because there's a HUGE difference in the quality of service they provide. They seriously don't value customers at JCP Sephora & it shows by their actions.

Perhaps take a picture of your receipt, using a receipt app? They should be able to accept digital receipts.

Sadly I no longer have the receipt. I never kept them before now because I was told by store associates I didn't need to 😧
