I attempted to log in and the field says my password has to be a minimum of 6-12 characters, etc...

My password meets this criteria. It won't let me log in. I tried to reset my password and I only get an "there's been an error" message. How can I fix this? I notice others have had this problem recently. 

Also: why is the live chat never available? Why even offer it? Would it really be so bad to have a customer service e-mail? Sephora has everything except what every other business has no problem providing in terms of contact.
