My order is late with no update

I ordered something with delivery by the 15th. I received no notification that it would be late. Nothing came to my email. I am traveling and needed it to come on the expected date. I now won’t be able to get the package because I’ll be gone by then. I would have planned accordingly if I had known it would be late, but got no notification or update to my email. I think it’s necessary to warn the person that the order is late. It looks like it left the facility late, not like a shipping issue. Not ok.
