My long lost Dyson AirWrap...

I think this is really more of a customer service issue. I am so disappointed. I finally pulled the trigger on a Dyson AirWrap. In a year of working the frontlines of COVID and tragedy in my own family life, I was so excited to make this silly, expensive purchase for a little bit of joy. Sephora, Dyson, and Best Buy all had them in stock for online orders at the time. I chose to order through Sephora solely because of their advertised shipping speed. (This was a $600 purchase!) So, I ordered the AirWrap and an accessory on 3/22, both had estimated delivery date of 3/24. Accessory arrived on 3/25, but the $500 item that is required for use of that accessory still hadn’t shipped. At this point, it has been more than a week since I ordered, and the UPS tracking has the infamous “Tracking details will be available once the package arrives at the UPS facility. Please check back soon”. I know that means it is either sitting in the warehouse, or they took my money for an item they didn’t actually have in stock (my card has been charged!) I have talked to customer service twice. The first time I was given 100 points, the second time $6 and some change. (If I am silly enough to buy a $500 hair tool, have the insight to know that I do not care about $6 in this moment, I care about getting that d*mn hair tool!) Both encounters with customer service made me feel angry, and then I felt entitled for feeling angry about not getting my frivolous splurge in the expected (and dare I say promised) time frame. Ha! Is this par for the course with Sephora? WTF? This has been so frustrating that I don’t want to give them anymore business! Going to refresh tracking...
