My NARS foundation bottle broke. Please help

The entire top part of the bottle is broken. The pump is lodged deep into the cap and a lot of foundation went to waste. Due to its price ($55) I only used it here and there for special occasions and the bottle sat on my dresser, unmoved, for over a month. The foundation was purchased sometime in February 2019 and while I no longer have the receipt - I still have box(with bar code) and packaging it came in. The purchase is also logged on my beauty insider account. I live in NYC with fairly normal weather so I don't see how this could of happened. If someone can offer advice, please do. I rather not waste time going into the store to hear that there's nothing they could do.
