Missing products in giftsets...

Just received my order and opened one of the gift sets (ok i know, but cute little gift sets are my weakness!) and only to find out that one of the products is missing. This is the second time this happened to me and it's seriously upsetting. The first one was from a previous sephora favorites [if i recall it was the 'beauty on the fly' one? it looked like this: https://m.sephora.com/productimages/sku/s1935907-main-Lhero.jpg ] it was missing the luna night oil, which i was looking forward to trying out. The second instance is this recent order with a FAB Delights, sure there was the moisturizer in there but the tinted lip therapy is again missing! Am i receiving returned products, or even worst, were the sets tampered with before hand? Honestly this is making me think spending money on sets/sephora in general is way risky then needed be. Unfortunately i know the products are now discontinued but is there any way of going about this?? Till then i guess i'll be steering clear with buying giftsets :((
