Missing package

I placed two order . Received one box . When I contacted they said both order were in same box however I am missing an item and worth of 110 dollars . They said they can’t do anything and I should contact carrier . Like why would I contact carrier for item missing from package when u clearly said that it was suppose to be in same package . Sephora chose the carrier not me so it’s not my Job I should get what I paid for or I should get refund .
