Missing Samples

I recently found out that Sephora gives you the opportunity for you to try new samples when you order online so I wanted to try it out. I could have just gone to the store to buy what I needed but I was excited to try new things. However when I opened my package I couldn’t find any of my samples. I’ve heard that Sephora will often substitute samples due to availability but I didn’t even receive that. Has anyone else had this problem before?

Today was the second time in a row that I didn’t get any samples at all. If you don’t have samples then stop promoting this opportunity on your website. Otherwise it looks like a scam. And today as well I got a package from Nordstrom - I ordered just one bottle of nail polish for $18 and got 5 (five, Karl!) samples from brands like Hourglass, Dior and Shiseido. It’s not really about samples, it’s about company ethics - Ulta, for example, doesn’t give or promise to give you any samples most of the time and that’s fine with me, but Sephora makes this sample thing as a tool of rewarding and attracting new customers and then just forget about it.

My package arrived today without samples. What I ordered are gifts and the samples were for me. ☹️

This actually happens quite often when the there are heavy shipping times. The warehouses have been hit hard the past few months with the F&F, VIB sale, and Holidays so they have a hard time keeping samples in stock. It's common to get the wrong samples, it's less common to get no samples but it happens. If you reach out to CS sometimes they will help you out but it depends on who you talk to. Hope that helps ladies!

I've never heard of this happening and it's never happened to me...until today. I just opened my packages and didn't have any of my samples.
