Missing Samples, Wrong Samples, Why Bother? Consistent Issue

For at least the past year, I have received either no samples in my orders or the wrong samples. I understand that sometimes samples may go out of stock, but this is EVERY SINGLE TIME. I can't remember the last time I got a sample that I selected, but even worse is when my order simply lacks any samples. Getting 3 free samples with any order is a perk that Sephora advertises, and part of the reason why I shop here for my beauty needs, furthermore why I order online vs. in store. This is a CONSISTENT issue, certainly not an isolated one. I just got an order today with NO SAMPLES in it, I will gladly provide this order number if needed.

I just received my order from the Reward Card Sale, and surprise... NO samples. Since I have not gotten any kind of response on here from a staff or mod, as it seems this particular section of the boards is for, I will contact them more directly. I'm tired of being advertised 3 Free Samples with every order at the very top of the Sephora website, and continuously receive none. If you are not able to send samples, do NOT advertise it!

I've had the same problem. Sadly I can't remember the last time I got a sample I actually picked online. Out of my last three orders two of them had wrong samples (shampoo and conditioner for curly hair when I have hair that is straight as can be??) and my most recent order had no samples what so ever. It's very aggravating when you need something that is online only, you pick out samples you really look forward to trying, and then you get hit with a shipping delay AND it's missing some of the things you were really looking forward to trying out...

samples.jpgThis is the shipment notification for my most recent order. Note the status:shipped on all of the samples that I did not only not get, but I didn't get any samples at all.

 

And I know in the grand scheme of things that this really isn't a big deal, but it's so annoying to be promised 3 samples with your order and consistently get one, none or always wrong ones!

Same here. I've tried emailing the help desk and all I get is an unhelpful generic email. It's like what's the point of having sample options if we're not going to get it or it's  something we didn't pick and nothing close to what we picked?

Same problem. Messaged them on Facebook. I they came back...

Same problem. Messaged them on Facebook. I they came back with a whole 75 points. I said thanks but no They agreed and they sent me one of the festival bags ((12 samples)). Speak out. Dont let them get away with this. If we do I think they will make sure are getting there samples!!!

I'm scent sensitive, so my main onbjection is getting surprise heavy scents in my package. I'd really like an option like Ulta has - you pick the sample category (skincare or fragrance or mix), and they pick the samples.

I've noticed a lot of people saying this. I just recieved my first online order and had completely different samples than what I had requested. I wanted to try some new perfumes in hopes to find one that I like enough to buy but they sent me all hair care samples, which I'm super disappointed in because I have extremely fine hair that's finicky with new products 😞
