Lying about tracking?

According to Sephora's tracking, my package has been sitting at a post office 15 mins away from me for the last 5 days (since the 18th). I decided to drive there today, and this poor woman looked for my package for 25 minutes before printing out a tracking sheet that shows it never even arrived there yet. Why is the tracking wrong on the website?
