Lost package?

Hi, I am a sixteen year old girl and this is my sister's sephora account but she does not know I'm making this post. We ordered a Urban Decay Naked Heat Palette approximately three days ago and the package was scheduled to come today. This was supposed to be my Christmas present from my sister this year and it is not really a cheap product considering that I am new to makeup and I often do not have the privilege of having the chance to buy from sephora. Thus, I am creating this post because I was really looking forward to using such a nice product but never received it. The people from the company that made the delivery (by the way the company was not UPS, USPS, or FedEx) said that they left the package outside of the entrance of my apartment building, but when we went to check there was nothing there. Obviously the package was either stolen or was never left downstairs at the lobby entrance. This post is not meant to be a complaint but I want to just receive information about whatever I can do about this situation, if anything can even be done. Because my sister told me to just forget about it because nothing can be done about it unless we make another purchase (which she is not going to do), but I just want to be sure and get some closure if there really is no way to do anything about it.
