Lost gift card

I lost my Sephora gift card after only spending some of it. I've been through all the forums and saw the tip to call Sephora for them to cancel with the original gift receipt. I called and they said it's like cash, but I've read that some others were able to get belo

some way so now I'm wondering what to do. I could go to the store since I haven't, but I'm not sure if that'll help. There was 50 left so I'm very sad.
