Lost Gift Card

Last Christmas my husband bought me a Sephora gift card for $200 and $100 to Ulta. They accidentally were thrown out with the wrapping paper. We have the purchase on our credit card and no-one has been able to help us. Ulta gave me $100 store credit but Sephora sent me to the store and they said they couldn't do anything. I've been shopping at Ulta because of it and I'm now a platinum member. I would have stayed with Sephora if it weren't for this. Is there anything at all that can me done. Surely, it could be checked to see if anyone used it. Just like everyone else is saying it doesn't look like there is anything that can be done. ???

My husband bought me a $200 gift card to Sephora. He bought it at Best Buy. Unfortunately, the gift card is lost. It hasn't even been used. We went to Best Buy. The Manager said there's nothing he can do. We called the Best Buy corporate office. They said there's nothing they can do. Mind you I have the receipt. Best Buy said it's Sephora's issue. I called Sephora. They said they don't replace lost cards. What can I do?

I am so sorry to hear about your gift card. The value of a gift card is treated the same as cash, and for that reason we are unable to offer a replacement for a lost or stolen gift card. I know how disappointing it can be to lose a gift card. While I'm unable to replace the lost gift card, for future reference, gift cards and eCards can be added to your e-wallet, which will securely store the value of your card on your mobile device.
