Long shipping times

I recently purchased one of the limited sephora summer favourites bags, but upon realizing I had ordered with the wrong info, I cancelled the order. For that order, it said that it was estimated to come on the 28th. Not even 30 minutes later, I placed another order for the same item, but it now says that it is estimated to come on May 4th. I was wondering why there was such a big change in delivery time. It has been over 2 days and the order is still in progress, which is much longer than usual. Why is that?

The item is also showing up as out of stock so I was also wondering if that is why my order is taking so long and if I will be able to even receive the item if it's out of stock.

@Calindali I'm sorry for the wait! If it was selling quickly, it may have had to be shipped from a different distribution center, which can extend the time frame. Items go out of stock on our website when all of the inventory is allocated to placed orders , such as yours. They go out of stock to ensure additional clients don't order them, as there is no additional inventory to allocate to them. There is no reason to believe your order will cancel and if there is an issue you will be notified by email.
