Let’s start a class-auction lawsuit

Hi, I've noticed many complaints about Sephora failing to address or resolve fraudulent purchases made with their gift cards. I experienced a similar issue where a brand new gift card I received had its funds depleted before I could use it, despite not having been scratched yet. A Sephora representative claimed it was used online while it was in my possession. It seems Sephora isn't taking sufficient action to assist affected customers. I think we should report these incidents to the FTC and BBB. I'm willing to initiate a class-action lawsuit if necessary.

I spend Hundreds of dollars at Sephora every year to be treated like this.

Hi I would like to join this law suit. Even after all these complaints it's April 2025 and it's still happening. They are clearly doing this themselves. Free money for their company. What better way to earn free money except on 100s of dollar cards with 0 value. And then put a warning label and call it cash value card so no one can do anything.

I received a $100 gift card, purchased 5/9/24 from a store in SF, CA, still have the receipt.

 

Went to use it yesterday: $0 balance

 

Went to the store, they told me to call the gift card balance number. They told me it was used 3x on 5/14 - $20, $60, $20

 

Gift card balance line told me to call customer service.

 

Customer services says to file a dispute with my bank.

 

Look online and you will see hundreds of people affected.

 

I will be looking into a class action lawsuit.

 

As far as I am concerned, Sephora is complicit in this.

 

I will not let this go.

I bought a gift card Dec 21 for $100 and it had a zero balance when it was first used today. We scratched off the numbers to pull the purchase history and there had been 3 purchases done online!!! 

I tried to call Sephora for help and they literally did nothing. The card was fraudulent when I purchased it from inside the physical store!  

please let me know how I can join the class action lawsuit??
