Can you work at Sephora at the age of 16?

This was just at my local Sephora, but you could get a job there at 16. I have since went to college but my understanding is that Sephora obliges by the laws of the jurisdiction, so if the minimum legal age for employment is 14 in an area, you need to be 14. My friend who worked there said it isn’t an entry level job, but the experience needed was small and you did not need to have a high school diploma.
