JCP sephora online order

I made a purchase thru JCP online, but it shipped from Sephora. I need to return an item (picture online is nowhere near the colors for the item I received), but I used a JCP gift card. If I return thru mail, will I just get an online credit?

i should clarify, it's a Viseart palette. It was the sephora section of JCP. It shipped from Sephora. It's showing in my sephora.com order history

Per JCPenney's website, "If you are not completely satisfied with Sephora merchandise purchased at jcpenney.com, please return your purchase in new or gently used condition for a full refund of the merchandise price including taxes to your original form of payment.  The merchandise may be returned by mail only."
