In store purchase vs. online purchase

Good evening! Hope you’re having a nice weekend. I have a question.. I usually order my products online. However, yesterday, I was in store and purchased a $53.00 foundation. No samples of product were given or even offered. Also, are the promotions online not the same in stores? For example, spend $25.00 and choose a trial size of a product? It doesn’t make sense to me to buy in store if there are no perks. I often make additional purchases because I use and enjoy the samples you send. Just wondering... thanks! 💄
