In store product availability

I’ve been having this issue since about September of last year, and I’m not sure what’s going on. I often will go to my local Sephora (which is a flagship store, so it’s not small) looking for replacements of items I’ve just used up. None of these things were limited edition or not being carried anymore; they’re just not in the store. Ever. Within 100 miles of me. Why? These are things that range from Clarisonic brush heads to moisturizers to a water liner color from Urban Decay. That water liner color was introduced to me by an employee at the very same store that now does not carry it. They still have one of the 4 colors, but not the one I’m looking for, and I think it’s silly to have to purchase it online if all I needed was an eye pencil. Not to mention the shipping hassles as of late. What’s going on with these items never being restocked? I end up in other stores or buying directly from the manufacturer as a result.

RE: In store product availability

I mean, meanwhile, there are 4 new Sephoras bear this one and none of them have different stock, which would at least alleviate this. Is Sephora becoming some weird tourist trap store for beauty?

Re: RE: In store product availability

Hi @mnda

I'm really sorry to hear about this! Sometimes stores have limited space for each brand, so not all items from the brand are carried in store. Additionally, if a brand is repackaging, the items may not be available temporarily.

If you'd like assistance placing an order or finding comparable items, please call us at 1-877-SEPHORA. Our Beauty Advisors would be happy to assist you!

RE: Re: RE: In store product availability

Thanks Sian. I know at least one thing isn’t being repackaged and there’s room in the store- the display is mostly bare and what’s there is covered in dust, so it’s not exactly the best-sellers on display. 😞 It’s the Boston flagship store, not one of the smaller boutiques, so my expectation is that there would be a larger stock there. Doesn’t really seem to be the case.
