In-store make-up application - 2nd time trying it, and I still looked caked/too heavy

I visited my local Sephora to get a: no-makeup" make-up look. I asked for a natural look using "clean at Sephora" make-up if possible. The artist was very kind, attentive and tried her best to match the color of my skin. I am not sure if the method used is not suited for my skin, it may be a training issue or product issue? I am not sure, she did use the scanner tool on my skin, but I don't think that is accurate. The area where the make-up chairs are set-up are flooded with light. Most of the time, I could not even see my skin clearly, it does not give an accurate view. While in the store I mentioned that my skin looked blotchy and not blended. I could see the brush strokes on my face (yes like a painting) and I asked if this is normal and will blend when it sets...She said yes, so I said to myself "trust the process".....so I trusted the process. When I got in my car, i got a better look and I was horrified. I would have gone back in, but I would have missed my event. Not only did the make up take longer then expected, it was not even well executed. I had the remove most of it with a wet sponge at home and it came off in layers...I could not believe how much was on my face. I don't understand, how would I look if I didn't ask for a natural look? also, she only used brushes and no blender sponges....is this customary?

@RoseeeCheeks I'm sorry to hear that you were unhappy with your makeup service. I would recommend contacting the store directly so they can further assist you with this.
