I think I received a used returned item?

I just finished my old moisturizer and finally got to open up my Sunday Riley CEO moisturizer that I ordered over the sale. There are a couple of things that's making me think that I may have gotten a used returned item from someone else. I've never purchased anything from SR before so if people can chime in one way of another I'd like to hear it. 1) the outer box was not "crisp". The cardboard box appears to have been handled before with loose folds and the top flap did not open remotely as a new box would. it definitely would not be described as mint condition but alas, it's just the outer box. they take a beating sometime. 2) no box inserts/inner packaging/fine print of any sort? I've never purchased from Sunday Riley before but this seems really unusual, especially for a luxury brand. 3) lid of the jar was just barely on. I only had to turn the lid to what equates to about 10-15 minutes on the clock to remove the lid. this makes me concerned about the quality of the product. vitamin C is notorious for being prone to oxidizing and spoils easily. it's hard for me to imagine the manufactur would send the stuff out without even bothering to closed the lids. 4) product doesn't fill the jar very fully. I am well aware products shifts and sticks to lids and whatnot, but this had a significant hole. I've also purchased and used enough jars of creams in my life to know what a new product should look like. I know none of this is definitive proof that I've got a used item but it awfully seems like it. am I being paranoid here?
