I am so disappointed again

Ok so in January or the end of December I ordered some products, well one of those products was a mini pallet by Sephora called donut. When I got my order I was so excited. My swatches were absolutely beautiful not to mention this was my first time ever buying from Sephora. Needless to say I could not wait to try my stuff out. So I go to do my eyeshadow, there was major fall out that was already upsetting but nothing I could not deal with. Then the applying began, I go to put it on my eyes and let's just say it was not showing up well like my swatches did. So I heard to wet the brush just a little, that made it worse. So I thought to myself if my swatches were so good by using my finger well maybe for this eyeshadow it would be best to use my finger because honestly if that is what I have to do to make it work then that is fine. I do not like doing it that way however it is not a big deal. So I applied it with my finger and that did make it show up so much better. I got excited again. until I went to blend it out with my blending brush and I barely did it. I just wanted it blended enough to were it look like the colors gradually ran into each other making it look nice. I did not want it to look like I ended one color and than began with another one. You ladies know what I mean...... So I did it so very gently because I did not want to mess it up after taking so much time trying different things to get it to show up like it did on my swatches. So when I blended it out and it litteraly took my color off to were it looked like it was barely there I was in complete shock. Then I also ordered the Sephora brand eye primer and the Sephora setting spray because it was affordable and I seen good reviews. So I cannot even tell if they are working properly because if I even try to put just one color on my lid so I do not have to touch it with a blending brush that way my colors show up and does not get messed up, then within a hour or two after wearing it you can see spots all over my eyes were the color has came off in that time frame. with setting spray is suppose to keep you're makeup on and the primer is suppose to make the color pop. So I do not want to say the primer or the setting spray is not good if it is just really the eyeshadow doing this. My eyeshadow has been such a problem that I have not even paid attention to whether or not the setting spray is keeping the rest of my makeup on but I will pay attention to that tomorrow when I do my make up. I will say I do not think I will buy another eye primer that is powder. I will just stick to liquids. Heck the eye primer might be good but I cannot tell with the eyeshadow acting up. I did try just using concealer to make sure the primer was not causing the eyeshadow to do what it was but it reacted the same way with that to. So honestly so far I just do not think it is the eye primers fault, I believe the eyeshadow just is not good. When I first got my order and tried the eyeshadow I swear on everything that I spent so much time trying to get it to work that I sat there for a few hours before I gave up. I told Sephora all this as a matter of fact in this group is were I wrote my complaint about it and they were amazing. They did not hesitate to send me a completely new one to try because they thought I might of just got a defective pallet. Well I got it so fast like litteraly the next morning it was here. It took as few days for me to try it because being a stay at home mom I do not do my makeup everyday so I tried it a few days after getting it. I really wanted to try every little thing to make it work and really try to wear it a week or so before I complain about it because I am the type of person who will not complain about something unless the product just is not good and I do not mind having to do a couple extra thing's to make it work. I rather not but it is not the end of the world if I have to. So after trying everything I stated above along with trying to wear it a week or so straight to be fair. I must say this refunded pallet is doing the exact same thing that the first one did. I really had high hopes for it with it being made by Sephora and their whole brand based around skin and makeup and because the swatches were just so beautiful. After trying this pallet and if I loved it, I wanted to get their other mini pallet named cookies and cream or something like that but scared it is going to do the same thing. So my $10 was wasted when I should of just saved up for a urban decay or a toofaced pallet even if I had to get the mini version. I am so disappointed. However I will say Sephora customer service seen my post and handled it right away and was very nice. I just really wanted this to go well this time but it did not. 😣
