How to add purchase points

I recently had a makeover at a Sephora location where I signed up to be a beauty insider. We added the products that I used and bought to my list and in store service tab but I didn't get my points for purchase nor does it show in my purchases in  my account. How can I receive my points for the purchase and how do I add them myself for next time?
