How long does it usually take to refund a gift card?

I cancelled an order a few hours ago and received the confirmation email that it was cancelled, however, my gift card is still not refunded yet. How long does it usually take to refund a gift card used to pay for a cancelled order? I am trying to purchase a separate item before a coupon code expires tonight and would like to use my gift card for it if possible.
