How do you redeem your birthday gift on the app?

When I choose The gift I want & choose 3 samples I click checkout but I’m getting an error we’re it says : “merchandise, excluding gift cards and e-gift certificates, must be included in your order to qualify for your birthday gift.” Have no idea what that means , Anyone ?

Do you have merchandise in your shopping cart other than the birthday gift and samples? You have to make a purchase to redeem your gift when shopping online. In the store, you do not have to make a purchase to receive your birthday gift. Please let me know if you need further assistance or continue to have issues checking out. Thanks!
