Horrible in store experience

Just got home from the rouge sale and the service was horrible from the rude cashier, who was not aware of the sales promo stating that a friend or family member could also use the discount/ receive a free tote with purchase. I had brought my mom along cause she's been eyeing some items for a while but this cashier would not let her use my discount and then told us you have to have a minimum $50 purchase for the tote, when the email clearly does not state that anywhere (I also just read the fine print to make sure) I'm so upset that some silly staff member that doesn't know anything about the promo would stand there and tell me otherwise. My mom was going to spend a good amount of money on her purchases too but oh well, no one is going to back in that long line up to fight for 20%, and a measly tote bag. If I ask a cashier can I tap my card? Her reply shouldn't be to shrug her shoulders and say try, nor should you have an attitude like cashing people out is punishment. 2 other girls on the sales floor also looked at me like I was speaking a different language when asking where certain products are. I as the customer should not know more about Sephora than the actual staff... I understand it's a busy time, but this is ridiculous.

RE: Horrible in store experience

My mom had a really bad experience in Calgary Chinook Too when she went for the first day of the first day of the sale! She was doing me a huge favour while I was out of town on the first day of the sale and picking me up a couple things I needed, and the free tote bag with purchase. I even called the Sephora the day before to put a couple things on hold for her, and explained the situation and they said it was totally fine. She went in, and was told that I was no longer a rouge member because I returned something last month (which is completely untrue...). They said they couldn’t do the sale and she explained how it was impossible that I wasn't rouge anymore. So after arguing with them they finally gave in to her, and gave her the 20% off, but they refused to give her the tote bag. I even looked at my account afterwards, and I didn't get any points, so they probably misheard the email and then blamed her for it! So not only did I not get the tote bag, I am missing a TON of points, and caused my mom grief! I felt so bad after for my mom, and will probably never send her to Chinook again!!!

You should definitely go back in and show them where they were wrong.

I went to Yorkdale also and walked out they were so rude. I was in Toronto visiting a friend..I ended up leaving and driving back to the west end and doing my shopping elsewhere.

I have seen nothing good about in store employees, idk what's going on with this world anymore but if you choose to work in customer service, maybe, they should know what customer service means! why do managers put up with employees being rude to customers?? Sephora, you clearly need to retrain on what CUSTOMER SERVICE IS
