Help with dried out mud mask?

I’m just now opening my sample of Sephora’s mud mask from my May Play! box but it’s completely dry. Can I add a little water to make it work or does this mean it shouldn’t be used at all? I was looking forward to trying this out today after reading the good reviews on it. I appreciate any help you can give me.

Could you please share your response with everyone? I had the same issue. I recieved in late May tried to use in July but it was completely dried out. Can we add a little water? Or is it expired?
