Groups with no conversations?

I've noticed that there are a few groups that have many members, but zero conversations. Glitter Enthusiasts, Highlighters, Makeup Minimalist. I tried to post in a couple because I had some questions. It will let me write a post but allow it to be submitted. Are these groups defunct or is there some kind of glitch?
