Got banned from exchanges and returns for 1 year. RIDICULOUS

I got banned from exchanging or returning products for 1 year. This is ridiculous- I don't even care about being able to return, but not being able to exchange is just wrong. What if I got the wrong shade of something (which is what happened- and the girl told me that she was going to email me a receipt but she never did and when I tried to exchange the item I got banned) so how is that my fault? I spend 1000+ dollars on Sephora a year to keep my rouge status and this is what I get? Is anyone having this problem/how did you resolve it? I filed for a dispute but apparently it takes 30 days to process so thats BS. Can anyone help? I honestly don't feel like I should purchase from Sephora anymore. This is horrible customer service. Does anyone know if I can transfer my points to another card? I don't feel its right to purchase items during the 20% off sale or ever again at Sephora if I have to use the same card that I have and not be able to return or exchange an item. Please help! This is the WORST customer service. Why does Sephora advertise their 365 day policy if they can't enforce it. Just make it 90 days or 30 days. This is very unfair to your consumers.
