Gosh, UNSUCCESSFUL AUTHORIZATION 3 TIMES!

I have no idea. This can be happened 3 times! I am sure it is no caused by my card issue. Please, help me. Thank you so much.

Sigh, I can't help but laugh cause this has been an ongoing thing with Sephora for years as utterly ridiculous as it sounds.  People have been flagged for making too many small purchases and for appearing to be resellers.  It was a huge issue back in 2014 where we were afraid to make too many purchases on a 24 hour period in fear of having our accounts blocked.  They would call customer service and be told they abused the program but were never given a straight answer as to what the offence was.  I haven't heard much in regard to this happening recently but it was in fact a legit issue. Its never happened to me either with all the purchases I've made.  Haha, I wonder how many of us go over the $10000 mark a year cause it seems pretty common in this forum:) @buzzybee25@RGbrown@ElleElleG

@heartsmyface Exactly!  I remember that & freaking out each time I placed an order!!  (Like duh I'm going to keep selected the same samples because those are the things I like).

 

@RGbrown thank you for sharing your email but you really didn't need to.  Most of us that have been apart of the community (i.e. BT) long before now have witnessed this time and time again and there are probably thousands of separate threads reporting this and requesting assistance in the archives 💕

@ElleElleG Especially at Christmas!!!  That's when I get worried cause I have been known to make (GASP!) four purchases in 24hours!!!  My heart has raced!  The (not cheap) thrills!

@TinKIM Everything @RGbrown outlined! Unfortunately various customers have received an Unsuccessful Authorization notice for a number of reasons.  

 

Some people have been told it's a problem with their card, they add a new one and receive the same notice.  Others have been told it's their address, they change it to something else, still receive the same notice, and so on.

like always you need to contact the bank or the card comp...

like always you need to contact the bank or the card company. only they can tell you what's going on. this is not an issue with sephora and it may be as simple as your bank or card issue thinking the purchase looks suspicious and need you to authorize. sephora won't be able to tell u why ever.
