Never buy a gift card from Sephora!!

Got one as a gift for xmas. Checked the balance immediately which was $100. Went to use it and it was "inactive". Five plus phone calls to customer service and three trips to store (as advised).....no explanation. Best I got was online store credit (proof of purchase on my brother's visa)..I read other people having similar experience with gift card just not working.  No answers, terrible customer service. Was directed to go to the store twice and they couldn't actually help me. Twitter dm said they could give me the money back on physical card...went to store...said they couldn't actually do that! Never shopping here again.

Exactly. Never knew about it and got trapped. Someone took away my life's savings through Sophora gift cards. 30 cards $500 dollar each. Customer service is extremely poor and once they sell the cards they know what would be the outcome and they don't care.

Did this ever get resolved for you? I'm having similar issues. Half a dozen phone calls. Being told I have to go into the store. It's a total cluster. I can't believe how bad the customer service is!
