Giftcard balance at $0 without using it

I know this problem seems to be happening to a lot of people out there, so if anyone could help it would be so great. I had two physical gift cards equalling $100, and when I went to place the order, it told me something was out of stock. After I dealt with that, I went back to check out and both of my card balances are now at $0 and my credit card had been charged! I'm really upset as I was looking forward to some of the things I was going to purchase, and if anyone knows how to fix this, it would be much appreciated!
