Gift card scam

Got a gift card for my birthday of 150 tries to use it at the store and she said it had a 0 balance when that’s impossible as yet I never used it and wasn’t scratched off until that day found the receipt of the purchased from my boyfriend tried contacting customer service as they told me when the money was put in the gift card it was immediately used as they purchased multiple items when how ?? If I never received and it was just bought ?? They said nothing they can do. So many scams and yet they don’t do anything about it our money is just going to the trash at this point not fair
