Gift card balance

Does the gift cards work like they do on Amazon where you can add multiple and it will combine into one balance? Or are they all separate

The same thing happened to me, $80 gone. 2 customer service agents said there’s nothing they can do.

If a billion dollar company rather pocket my $80 then do right by a loyal customer, I’ll no longer be buying any of my products from Sephora.
