Gift card balance disappeared

I checked my balance yesterday (1/2/26) on the Sephora website and confirmed my balance of $25 and alsoi transferred it to Apple wallet.

 

Today I’ve gone to use it. There is nothing in my Apple wallet and the balance is 0. 
Customer service saying $18 was used and then $6.

 

I haven’t used it.

 

Customer service and the gift card service refused to do anything and seem to think it’s acceptable that the funds have just gone missing. 

Appalling customer service.
