Gift card balance disappeared

I’m so disappointed. On my birthday 12/21/2023 I received a $50 gift and loaded it onto my Sephora account right away but I didn’t use it planing to save it for when I needed to restock. Flash forward to today when I decide to check out my gift card is gone! I searched all over my account and there’s no signs of it at all. I decide to search the web to see if this has happened to others and it seems like it’s a reoccurring problem and Sephora does nothing about it!  This really sucks! Had I known that this happened with Sephora I would have held on to the actual card. Iv done this same process with other stores where I loaded the account with my gift cards and leave it in my account until I’m ready to check out and this problem has never happened.
