Gift Card Scam

Make sure you tell all your friends and family members not to purchase gift cards from 3rd parties , ie. drug stores and grocery  stores. I received a gift card for my birthday and the balance total was stolen. Sephora customer service says they do not guarantee 3rd party gift cards, only those purchased in store. Not sure if anyone else has had problems with gift cards purchased directly from Sephora, but this does not seem moral. Sephora still receives  the money from the 3rd party but none of the liability. I’m a Sephora vib and should be given my balance that was stolen.

Hi everyone.  Same situation with us.  Someone gave us a $50 Sephora gift card in September 2023 and we just scratched off the account at the store in December 2023. The store told us there was zero balance. I called the customer service number and they told me the card was used by somebody in Florida. We are in California. As with other customers on this website Sephora refused to help.

I wouldn't accept a giftcard that doesn't seem legit..I rather have a legit gift card from the actual store like our beloved Sephora or Ulta @Roxanne0000  scams are horrible  ...
