Gift Card Not Workng

I got a gift card for Easter on Sunday. It has 50 dollars and was activated (I was there when it was purchased) however, it isn't working when I try to shop online with it. We got it from an Army Air Force Exchange Shop (AAFES) because we are military overseas. I have things I want to buy, I followed all of the online steps, but it says that the 16 digit code is invalid. What's wrong with my card?
