Gift Card Fraud/Scam

I recently bought a 75 dollar gift card for my mom as part of her birthday gift and when she went to use it the balance was $9.80. The back was not scratched off and the items that were bought were after the gc was given to her. When I called the gift card customer support they transferred me to Sephora beauty advisors and they said there was nothing they could do and transferred me back to Sephora gift card customer support and once again they said there was nothing they can do and wanted to transfer me again to the beauty advisors. I am just getting the run around of things and this is so unethical. Like another post said. This smells like an inside job. I wish I could get some answers. But seems like I’m just going to have to loose my money. Never again will I purchase a Sephora gift card! #gift card#scam
