Gift Card Compromised

I bought two $50 gift cards for my wife and daughter for Christmas. They tried to use it in store only to find out that someone else has used them two days after I purchased them. I called the Sephora customer service and at first they told me that it was a common occurrence and that they virtually send me two cards. I waited and it never came. Then I called back they said it was company policy (numbers 8 and 10) that they take no responsibility for compromised gift cards. I asked them to see who used them and they said they had to protect the identity of the person that used my gift cards and that they have no loss prevention capabilities.  WTF! I’m not a rich person! Those gift cards is what I could afford. Sephora, you must do better than this!
