Gift Card Balance Gone

Like other posters that I am now seeing, I received a large sum of gift cards for the holidays. Having uploaded the cards to my account to use portions of the balance, I have disregarded the cards. I am not understanding why Sephora seems to have a completely different platform than any other e-commerce I have used - why is my balance gone? I am not even sure that I still have the cards, because I didn’t think I would need the physical cards after having a balance on my app. 

would love to be connected to support to help resolve this issue, but also want to continue to make others aware that this exists! Really hoping there is a way to get my balance back.
