Gift Card Balance Disappeared

I had a $20 gift card for Sephora and when I was trying to check out, the transaction declined for some reason, even though my card went through and showed that it had $20 (it was my first time using the card). I kept trying to pay again because nothing seemed out of order, and then the next time I checked, my gift card balance was $0 and the order was never placed. The money disappeared and I have not gotten it back. I’m extremely upset.

Having this exact issue.. placed an order and it went through just fine. Realized there was more I wanted so I added my gift card, and 50$ appeared on my account. Went to place my order with my CC covering the last bit. Declined due to "cc issue". Called my bank and no issue on their end (plus I had literally JUST placed an order). Called Sephora and was told they could place my order over the phone but "you're gift card has 0 balance now because even though the transaction didn't go through we still take the money off the gift card".

I asked the agent to please just reissue a new card and get rid of my first one. She literally said there's nothing she can do and "do you want to place the order fully on your cc?". Excuse me why would I want to do that when I have a gift card? And why is customer service telling me to basically suck it up the gift cards gone? I'm L i V i D.

This happened to me with a balance of $100. On the phone with them now. Thanks for posting. I am glad at least I am not the only one.

This also happened to me right now there was a balance of around 53$ and then it wasnt working so i refreshed the page and my balance was at 0 now. were you able to fix this issue?
