GIFT CARD FRAUD!!

I received a Sephora gift card for xmas on 12/18.  Today (12/20), I scratched off the silver sticker on the back to get the card and pin# to check the balance online and it said $0!!  I called Sephora and they said someone used the card on 10/30 and 2 more times in Nov 2023.  How is that possible? I just got the card 2 days ago!  The silver cover was still on the back.  How could anyone have used it??The lady on phone said they couldn't do anything about it and that it was not their problem! Never shopping at Sephora again! Be aware of buying gift cards there!

Re: GIFT CARD FRAUD!!

I had the same thing happen to me today. I purchased a $25 Sephora gift card on 12/08/2023. From 12/08/2023 to 12/26/2023, the gift card was in my possession and the numbers were not scratched off. However, someone took the balance to -0- on 12/13. We tried to use it on 12/26 and it was empty. I called Sephora who told me it is a "known scam" but they wouldn't help.

The same thing has happened to me! I just got the gift card as a gift the other day and just scratched the silver cover at the back. When i tried to use it it says that it has $0 when it should have $50. I need help with this!

Re: GIFT CARD FRAUD!!

I received gift card and when attempted to use it was at zero balance, called gift card line and they were able to tell me it was used three times purchases sent to Florida. I live in California. I called customer service and after waiting 25 minutes was advised there was nothing they could do and to call the grocery store the card was purchased at. Why would Sephora not be able to do anything when their card was used fraudulently on their website?
