Free Sephora birthday gift

When I went in to get my free birthday gift they told me them and every store around was out of stock of every single gift and they told me to go get it online but when I tried to get it online it said in store only so what am I supposed to do? Not really fair.

I may suggest checking back with your local Sephora store before your birthday month ends to see if they've restocked the gifts or redeeming one of the available gifts online.
