Forum reply notifications

On this forum, if you reply to someone in a thread who isn't the original poster, do you have to @ them for them to know you've replied? I've seen some people doing that and others not, and it's not in the FAQ. I've seen some forums where you need to and others where you don't, so I thought I'd ask.

Hi @ibblej, as @bonafide11 mentioned, it's always a good idea to tag the person you're replying to, to ensure they are notified of your response!

@ibblej You need to @ them if you want them to receive an email notification. If you just reply without tagging them, they won't get notified unless they've subscribed to be notified when someone replies (see the checkbox to the right of the reply screen) but there's no way for you to know as the responder. The best way to ensure someone sees your reply is to tag them. Hope that helps!
